How do you become a goodly parent?
Easy, you have goodly children.

How we rear our children will make a difference in who they become. Like a flower seed. That grows wild vs. Being nurtured and cared for.

We need to as parents be teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Children need to learn to pray.

Teaching children to work will help them be good missionaries.

By teaching our children about Christ will help them know that they change if they

He says that he loves the fact that he is among friends, and really he is.  So, why is he nervous?

Have Family Prayers and Home Evening, and the church is a great support group.

Bear your testimony to your children often.

Expectations of children make the difference between successful  and un sucessful children.

Story of a viper who had eatten a centipede that was actually larger than it. Probably, mid eatting the thing that came to take up the whole body of the dead viper that ate it the viper was thinking, " forget this..." likened to drug addicts.

Hiking, the group stopped to take notes from a conference. Even then it is that important to hear the words of God.

Moses is an example of how Hod will never leave us to wander unaware. We still have prophets today.

Prophets were saying things that mattered to us today. And they appear as us.

The 12 hold the keys, but not authority.
The apostles get to be in many places.

Cumulatively  the 12 hold the same authority.

There will always be things that you do not agree with, but pray for the things (leaders) you do have.

Lord will not let anyone lead us astray or against the will of Christ himself.

The prophet will not say things that go along with the world.

Instantly, I thought of my own mother,  and how different she could have been, but she chose to do and be who she was, she could have been anything!!! SHE IS AMAZING!

RELIEF SOCIETY

I ask myself, “How does the Savior see my faith?” And tonight I ask you, “How does the Savior see your faith?”

34 And now, behold, is your knowledge perfect? For me the best example of whay faith is is in Ether, the story of the brother of Jared.

This is from Ether:

And because of the knowledge of this man he could not be kept from beholding within the veil; and he saw the finger of Jesus, which, when he saw, he fell with fear; for he knew that it was the finger of the Lord; and he had faith no longer, for he knew, nothing doubting.

HE HAD FAITH NO MORE.

Faith is an action and power. (Inside Joke here, but I am thinking about Action Man as being Abraham).

Faith can be seen as it is light.

"There is always hope." Vs. The dollar which ought to be more helpful.

Hope can help you. Doubt not fear not. Fear is the opposite  of faith. So when you struggle decide to be helpful instead of fearful or doubtful.

Priesthood is the power of God. It works by our choice to exercise the faith.

Faith can lead to good, but it might lead through hardship.

Although we can have a testimony of many things, but only faith in Jesus Christ can redeem us or have any consequence.

It is better to obey than to sacrifice.

Wow, it is amazing how we can take all of the drama and the scriptures and church just tell us black and white what to do. And so we do not need to worry about the rest of the matter, like why or why not to do a thing like smoke.

Obedience promotes faith.

Service strengthens the faith muscles.

Keeping our commandments and covenants help us grow in faith, being in holy places, like in church.

Addressing HONEST QUESTIONS is an important part of building faith, and we use both our intellect and our feelings. The Lord said, “I will tell you in your mind and in your heart.”13 Not all answers will come immediately, but most questions can be resolved through sincere study and seeking answers from God.

Brain dump

Missionary who served in west Texas, called it the Devil's armpit.

He says giving talks as a RM is a learned thing, because he regularly spoke on his mission.

Not necessary to do everything instantly and fast, but do what is necessary and do it well and "diligently."

When we pray for a thing, we will get it, but it might not work out as we expect, that proves that we ought to trust what we deserve is what we need or the thing we need will come through the thing we want and maybe ruining what we have alot of supposed joy for.

The high councilman said, that if you do not remember anything else remember this: ***because GOD LOVES YOU he wants you to return to be with him.

Being a disciple of Jesus is not easy.

We need to put it as a priority to help others as we may one day deserve pity.

Being Steadfast and immovable is easier if we have Christ as a foundation.

SS prayer

Everything (all topics)ties back to the plan of salvation. But, number one law is Loving God, so how does it tie back.

When I was a teenager I was trying to decide what the most valuable thing and most significant thing I would teach my children, and the Lord gave the example of Loving others, and I wrote it my journal that if I never taught anything else, I would teach them how to communicate with God.

Prayer is about listening, too.

Voice that can speak to you audibly even, like the time God had to intervene and he sent angels to rescue nephi from his brothers who were going to kill him, but Laman and Lemuel would not listen.

If all we know is what we can see then we do not know much.

It is interesting to me that the first commandment God gave his own children was to call upon God, and Adam would not listen to other teachings, but wanted messengers of his Father to come and tell him what to do...

Taking name in vain, we represent God when we pray, "in the name of Christ". If we do a similar thing.

Worship God in nature, it is worshiping creation.

We are commanded to pray.

We pray when we need to pray for little boo boos.

My friend once said not to wait, but just pray instantly if you need something.

Sometimes we get things out of the act of setting aside that time.

Many troubles of praying are not even valid. But, Prayer is the means of getting power from our Heavenly Father.

Spiritual toolbox.

Prayer is like a hammer.

God knows and loves us all. We are, every one of us, his daughters and his sons, and whatever life’s lessons may have brought us, the promise is still true: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

Peace comes so that we can handle things and have the peace of mind, and we can have peace of mind.

It offers peace of mind that there is someone who has and can give the perfect solution and he understands no matter how we approach him or eddit what we day.

If prayer is only a spasmodic cry at the time of crisis, then it is utterly selfish...

We are commanded to pray always.

What can we do to pray always?

More of a report to your father at then end of the day and just talk. Try to view ourselves as the way we view our own children...makes me think of how I always used to call my mother and just blabber.

Just get in a habit. Be mindful that Satan does not want us to pray.

Just thinking is praying. If we do not actually hear God so maybe we can think and that is a communication.

There is an actual physical act of praying that shows a comittment.

A woman who gave full attention to sunset, no one bothered us at that time.

Nature can be observed and we need to give thanks for it's example of obedience.

"Reverence is the atmosphere of heaven."

Search, ponder, and pray. Represented by the scriptures, meditation and prayer as tools in our spiritual toolbox.

Have a devotional every morning by reading and talking about what you learn.

We all need a place to be our sacred grove.

There are triggers like I was thinking for FHE.

But, out search, ponder, and prayer not need to be in the right order.

Coming to church and be believing is very important as example by the things that have been shared by wonen who I respect.

We need to have the spirit with us to pray in the firstplace. Both things mentioned by another how we need first to believe, and take the sacrament (covenant with father and he will let his spirit be with us).

Fasting purifies us and keeps our "filter" clean.

Maybe we can ask God what do we lack. Not everything at once like man might teach. Holy Ghost helps us prioritize and fight the battles we need to to ultimately win the war.

Valentine's day

Book of Mormon is the basis of what we believe, if we study it, we will learn the full gospel, and everything that we need.

Book of Mormon is compared to a swiss army knife, able to do it all....

When life gets difficult, and he thought life would get easier as we get older, but he is in high school and it keeps getting harder and harder.

We must ask for God's help and perserve when we fail, because what we were being blessed with was not necessarily the virtue we sought, itself but a means to gain the struggle that if we overcome we can gain it.

Basically, read your scriptures, attend church, pray and keep the commandments, that is the foundation put into enough words to fill the time needed.

By small and simple means are (all) great things brought to pass.

Remember who you are. Simba was to become a king.

The world tries to understand things and they how really really far astray they fall opposed to those who have revelation constant companionship of the spirit.

Story of waking up and being directed by the spirit to where children were.

Quantum physics is smaller particles, and has an entirely different set of laws and the spirit is smaller non visible particles. In this science we can explain how a thing NV qDear can coexsist in many places.

Only way to know the book of Mormon is true. Is through the gift of the Holy Ghost which will testify of truth to you.

Challenge each to read the book of Mormon and ask if it (that portion) is true.

**One cannot be a parent without the companionship of the Holy Ghost.
Cannot do it alone, need to work with the father of the spirits and help them to know where to turn for aide.

Think of a way to overcome our trial that we have, also by sharing what confounds us might be clear to others.

Suffering makes us a better person, can make us saints, opposed to just being upset and revel in being.

Suffering offers opportunities we might never have had otherwise.

Story of how soccer was played an offered her a life, via scholarships etc. But, got sick and could not play, but through that we was able to meet and marry her husband.

Another woman story of her husband dying in her 20's she thought her life was over. But, her oppprtunity lead to meeting her husband.

I practiced piano and studied for years just to be a musician and I could not do that at all. I was devestated. But not persuing music forced me to do other things.

I will never join your church! But, he lost job and had to find something else to do, also, ended up going to church, etc. Moving it became necessity.

Imperfect things happen to perfect people. Regarding why the Savior kept his nail markings.

God could change things, but he lets things happen, those opportunities allow us to learn. Great way to parent. God set the example on how we should let make choices.

Reading scriptures helps us in our trials and adversity.

"It came to pass and never did it stay."

Do not have a pity party.

Truck needs enough load to have sufficient traction to get unstuck.

We have trials we look inward and a solution is to look outward.

Every one in the room has a trial and someone else in the room has a solution to that problem.

Family and how it is important.

In natural disasters, people always think first and most about their families.

God uses families for organization, so we can learn to love others more than ourselves.

Parents have a great responsibility. They are like the switch on a railway track and one little action can have a profound impact.

Service is so significant to teach. Like Savior washing the feet of his apostles. From John 13.

People with differences can still be loved and shared with without loosing any of our faith... the example given was of the Samarian Woman at the well who Jesus dealt with kindly.

Our example teaches a whole lot more than we can imagine. So, we are passing on who we are, which means even things we do not say will be taught and effect who we become.

Prayer is our personal  time with God. This needs to be shared with our children,  so they know where they can always turn for help when needed. Regardless.

It is ironoc that a new struggling parent is trying to teach a group of seasoned parents and empty nesters.

Children are a heritage of the Lord.

***Teach the gospel in your home. Occasionally, use words.

No safe age limit for immorality, like immoral programing.

How you treat your spouse will set a pattern.

Why did we come to the Earth?

Jesus and Adam created the earth under the direction of Heavenly Father.

World was created through priesthood power. All men have the same power. It is there, but do not have the faith to do it.

All things were created spiritually first.
My mother told me about a type of photograph that even after you cut a tree leaf it is still there. Matter is not created or destroyed.

Heavenly father was present when man was created, because he was that important to him. It is like a father of a child being present when a child is born, but the mother can do it completely without him, so Jesus could have done this on his own.

We have been a cool playground to live on.

God loves us so he made us chocolate.

"...All things are numbered unto, for they are mine and I know them..."

(Skeletal and muscular systems of dinosaurs perfectly formed for our earth).

Why did you get married?
Marriaged is supposed to make us happy.

The couple is the only truly significant sealing.

Christ like love maybe not intended for our spouse.

Most romantic songs are self-centered.

Mom, not sure if it is me or not me. We have a hard time giving up the fantasy that the mom will always take care of everything me needs. There is a moment when we realize that a not me is dedicated to the well being of me.

Love is more than physical, emotional or mental.

You need the pain to call the love *like a diaper change. So, it is a part, like C.S.Lewis said, of the joy.

Physiological states are not sustainable, only occur in the falling in love stage.

We do not even conciously know why we fall in love. Not sustainable nevessarily, it is labeled twitterpation.

We are married to someone else. They will never be "me".

Story of Golden Egg, where we get all we need, but not everything we want. But, it all works.

Someone brought out how often, they give with the intent of what they get and not a genuine display of love, like how my children say they love me because they hope to gain something.

When we get older the ways we cope or disappear like housework or child rearing.

Concerning brain dumps

There are many things I absorb in much greater detail than I express, and sometimes the things I write are not even what is being discussed. And perish the thought that I am often just taking seconds from the meeting. Often, what I write down might not even be recognized by the one it looks like said it. They merely point my thoughts in a direction.

I am mostly noting my impressions and take full blame for the result, unless it is praise, then, praise goes to the orginal generator of such thoughts,maybe director. The teachers and speakers are my conduit or means to a greater conclusion. I  always happy to have been at the meetings.

We need  to answer this, if we are to achieve unity.

Some people just naturally do things that,need to be done.

All the ways the temple was a part of our lives was enumerated.

How excited I am that my wife's grandmother got to see the next life?

Fast is like paying for someone's meal as if it were your own.

Law of fast is not a,matter of finance but a matter of faith.

Law of fast, one should read and study Isaiah 58.

More than just not eating, but strengthens the spiritual or divine in us.

It is coupled with prayer. And is a form of work to seek out the blessings that would be ours.

Fasting is a similation of your ability to resist temptation.

What does it mean to be sanctified?

To be free of sin, pure. We need to achieve that. The best way is to honestly fast.

Expirament on the word.

We can fast at anytime, and we do not need to wait until fast sunday.

Binoculars are helping us to see a problem that we must solve.

Prophets are alot like binoculars and they offer a testimony that someone is speaking, and also that following that omnipotent power will make us happy.

Feel light in our life and then share it with others.

we out to put as much effort into gaining a testimony as we do finding a rare gem like a diamond.

Story of fog stopping someone from swimming the English channel. We suffer because of like stumbling blocks.

If we have a strong testimony we will have less interest in things that fog up our way.

We need to define where our alliegance goes.

Never discredit the work done in our homes.

We are motivated by things. Our motivation is taught to us and we must need to remember what our life should be.

Ask for help in our morning prayer to have ballance restored.

Oars in a boat represent ballance, opposed to a sail that is going to always blow us in the right direction.

Distractions can become motivations. Weaknesses can become strength.

Sometimes we need to cut down to manageable levels "do not run faster than is required."

Change the water to wine, the Savior has the power to do that. The servants had no reason to believe but, they obeyed.

When we sacrifice we are sanctified, that is seen visibly in many movies where a priest is seen to torture themselves to be holy.

There is a power that comes from taking the sacrament. Give your will to our Heavenly father. Be reminded of  the Savior's  sacrafice for us.

In the analogy of the turning of water to wine. It can be plain but turned not into a needed thing, but the best thing.

Heaven won't  be heaven without my wife.

That is it! The more I truly immerse,myself into the things that are true, the more I see so many things I only hope to be true are not.

Elder speaking served in the West Indies. Met with a guy who explained how lots of people try to bend his understanding towards their faith, but he lacked humility and claimed that he already knew it all

Eventually, and gradually became humble enough to learn about what he did not know.

We can feel truth from Bible, but there is more and it is not everything and when we are humble enough we can learn so much more.

The church was not allowed in an area, really, but with patience and humility a new political leader was chosen and the church was able to be taught there.

High conselsor served his mission in minnesota.

Story about the game of pickle ball and his experience with humility .

Humility is not a popular or saught after trait in the world. But, blessed are the meek.

Joseph smith is said to have publically called Brigham Young to repent, and Brigham was humbled instead of resentful.

Humble is not to think less of yourself, but to think of yourself less.

Pride comes from not success but being more sucessful than others. It is comparitive.

Pride turns off priesthood but humility turns it on.

If we ever thought that we have humility then we do not.

Being able to serve in any calling not just great ones.

We can do as much good in any capacity in how we serve not where.

Jesus Christ, Our Chosen Leader and Savior.

Everyone of us thought that we,were going to make it

Power would be his as Lucifer's plan.

But, living on earth would have been pointless.

And this we saw also, and bear record, that an angel of God who was in authority in the presence of God, who rebelled against the Only Begotten Son whom the Father loved and who was in the bosom of the Father, was thrust down from the presence of God and the Son,
26 And was called Perdition, for the heavens wept over him—he was Lucifer, a son of the morning.
27 And we beheld, and lo, he is fallen! is fallen, even a son of the morning!

If a son of the morning could fall, any of us could, if we are not sufficiently humble. Story about a newly returned missionary who left the church.

The way we fight against evil is through ideas expressed in words.

Plans can be thwarted but then God always triumphs.

Jesus was needed as a savior, because we need to be helped, if anyone expected to suceed.

A good idea for new years resolution is to list of what we will do less of on one hand and more of on the other.

Every once in a while, just pray where you talk to God, but do not ask for anything.

We can give the correct answers but not do them.

Stand in Holy places. Doing the right things.

Reading our scriptures is peaceful.

To move forward we must let go, like on monkeybars.

Peace

Worldly peace? "I do not think the world ever has given us peace" but it a most saught over thing.

SHALOM greet and dismiss that means peace.

Pres. Hunter admitted that he personally did not understand eternity. But, we all know that the only way to achieve success is through knowing Jesus Christ.

Preventitive measures are taken often because of peace is desired.

We go to away to find peace.

Go to the temple.

Scriptures bring peace.

Repentence brings peace.

The Savior is the only Real source of peace.

Contentment is synonymous with peace. I wondered how it had not been mentioned yet that the place we feel peace is the temple, but we need to find a way to turn our daily lives and home a place to be content when not in the temple.

Sometimes we make the wrong decisions when we do not take our medicine.

Satan will do anything he can to stop things from happening like members attending the temple.

People who were healed were desperate to have the Savior's help. I think of Alma the Younger and how he had a horrible trial and it needed to be so that he realized that Christ was truthfully the only hope.

Now, it has been mentioned multiple times the movie Let it Go. Or more specifically, the words "let it go" and how they sort of mean peace, and a need of our Savior.

Hiking story like peter walking on the water, if we cling to the "chain" or keep focus on the savior, but inevitably we look down and falter, we ought not ever look down.
