Mid winter in a town almost in antartica, but still in Argentina.He is happy<~that is important.
A family is blessed so much when missionary serves.
If people want to hear the gospel he is glad to share it, but will not listen, they will not hear.
A lot of strength from loving parents. Missionaries appreciate and cherish that.
Wife broke her foot and it is so signifiant because of trek.
A woman did not know the church is true, but knows that the teachings of Jesus make her feel better, and this Church teaches those things.
When a missionary bore his testimony, a listener thought it was the mission, but it was the truth.
Beyond knowing the church is true, it is utmost important to know of all of the people, God loves you.
Tithing just wouldn't work. So, missionary told him, to quit his job and the Lord would bless him with a better job.
Pray, and make a little covenant if you need it, to have what you lack.
"This meeting rings of sincereity and truth."
Faith leads to repentance.
A comment was that if you are married and have kids, you have it made.
We will not understand the atonement in this life, we cannot. It was said that likely we will still need it in the Celestial kingdom. It is like that comment that a point will ever be reached.
"It takes a lot of courage to repent."
Every day we need to be mindful that there are those present who do not feel worthy to be.
The Greek definition of Contrite is to grind to powder.
How is Godly sorrow different from regret? Best explination is a young missionary who was not able to go on his mission unless. Mosiah 4:10
It is important to let others repent.

If we do not keep the commandments then we have not repented.
We recieve a strength to help us. Sometimes the strength is in just doing it. Being strong enough to just do it.
Sins are serious when they effect others and need to be confessed to a proper priesthood authority. Then, they will no longer be remembered, and forgiven.
We are prone to wander from the God we love... "Come thou font of every blessing"
It is interesting that music "invites the spirit" and also is known to change the brain in a way to make it conduscive to things. So, we sing words to music.

Talking poorly of men is bad.
It is a blessing to be a part of his callings.
GA talk about their spouses as perfect, but she knows enough to know that they are not perfect people. ( probably, it is they are perfect for the other, but anyone can seem angelically perfect regardless of how ideal they are ) They exude the light of Christ.
Women often are allowed to do that, but often he is not even there and a woman must do it.
A woman, would ask if as a preisthood holder he would like to do it. Patience.
It is important to do little things to help the man do their duties... Ultimately, it is their duty and it is ours to be a help meet.

All of the examples come from what we see a lot of, and the media shows what to do and even my dad used to comment on how we always see men depicted as idiots and they are not.
I remember a time Sister Benedict told about her husband knew so much and it was a suprise and she wondered how he had hidden all of that awesomeness. He seemed so wonderful.
Satan will never be a husband or father, so he works on men and women to rip apart what they could have.
The man always communicated when he would not be able to uphold his end of the bargin.

End of the line...
This needs to be recorded.
I was staring at the carpet cause I was bored, and I am not an overly or even slightly emotional person, but, I felt a lump in my throat and tears started welling in my eyes from contemplation as I stared at the grapevine sort of pattern. At first, my thoughts were that the "fruit" looked like a heart. No, no, no, not a heart shape, but two strong muscles that could pump blood through the vines, I sort of giggled thinking of all of the metaphors of grapejuice and blood, even it's name is called "sangria" or some Sanguine word. But, my mind stayed on on fact as it followed each off shooting vine to it's conclusion. It maybe one very large/long interconnected vine, but it had so many ends!! I thought of my uncle Al who only had daughters although he named one Allison, he only has sisters, too. So this song came to mind: Morrissey - (I'm) The End Of The Line (W/Lyrics): http://youtu.be/Wal-q0Wny8c . Really, it happens for various reasons all of the time. I think of it as perfectly normal, nothing sad, because since a child I had the notion that these are the latter-days so, no big deal. But, what made me sad was that each person is on that line so as we do genealogy even those who lived without an opportunity to accept the gospel because it was not even on the earth. What if during that time your line ended, there would be no ancestors to do your work for you, which ordinances like baptism is required to even enter the kingdom of God, right? So, it really, really makes,me sad. But, maybe the pattern was intended to communicate that and since the message was recieved I will seek out as many such lines as I can.

Brain dump
A strong family in trek is very similar with our own family. A positive attitude makes a better experience and it becomes a great learning experience.
Family is the unit of Heaven.
People on their own lives did nothing that seemed spectacular to their peers, but the rank up there with the famous people today in admiration. Plus, their actions gain respect of far more over time, if that is even the goal. I further suspect the appreciation and life changing effect is greater.
Elder told story of how we seek after long boring meetings like article of faith about lovely things we seek after as LDS seek after these meetings.
Mentioned meeting with and baptizing Joseph Smith.
If you recognize the Lord in the Bible and also in the Book of Mormon, the church is true.
Power and courage in the name of the Savior, and we can know that we are on his side.
****Edges of our comfort zones are not the limits of our Endurance.
Fear is opposite of faith.
Faith is required by some to fly in an airplane. But, the second time it is easier because we have seen others do it.
Faith is a gift, but with a gift, you must have faith because someone gave the gift.
Never doubted you could do something but it takes a lot of work, for example, getting an education.
Everyone who ever did amazing did it out of faith.
Joseph Smith had a lot of faith.
When you pray and faith is stronger and you feel great and know that things are true, then. When you stand up and leave you are bombarded by the world. This is so much like the Temple.
But, you cannot explain to others the faith of God because they see it as denial of what is. But, even if the outcome is bad and someone is not healed or dies, but that is not our faith. We still know things.
When I was in the hospital I was told that I would die, but I did not ever believe it. Others said that I was a Christian when I moved my lawyer, therapist, etc. Called me spiritual because they knew that some sort of miracle happened.
All miracles came because another acted without a knowledge of what it would mean to them. I think specifically about my teeth.
The important thing is that through our trials and such we gain greater faith, ultimately that will allow us to gain our eternal reward. Miracles do not convert us.
Study scriptures will increase your faith. It helps you put in the work required.
The nephites did not have this scripture.
It is interesting that he knew for four years but was not allowed to take the book.
Story of the guy who hurried his chores and duties to go read and was called a nerd. And this sort of behavior is called unusual. I suppose I must be a nerd.
Talked about Cleon Skousen and all of the things he taught us and it increases our testimony. Moroni appeared to Columbus (right before he discovered Columbus, OH)
Missionaries are putting lives and everything on the line to teach the word of God.

We do not need to feel a burning to know that it is true.
Asking questions is a sign of curiosity and leads to uncovering truths. The kingdom of God will be full of children and he loves them. That is what I notice most about children. They always ask why.
Vanity and unbelief bring a darkness of mind. When we do not believe what we have we will not recieve greater things.
Like how Joseph Fielding Smith rushed home to read it was a favorite thing. If we would rush to get the further scriptures, we read the book of Mormon daily. Although there are other wonderful reasons to read daily.
