Story about a baby who would not be quiet but criedthe whole meeting. This happened a couple of weeks, then the mother explained to the bishop that she would not be the meeting and the bishop asked her to please stay and offered to take care of it. The woman gave the baby to the bishop and he left for a while and returned with a silent, nearly sleeping baby, who slept through the whole meeting. Astonished the mother asked how or rather what was done. The bishop said, "I set him apart as a high priest."

The Holy Ghost's warning is not a shout, although sometimes a wsrning seems very urgent by a thought that is said over and over and over and will not go away.

The Holy Ghost whispers still small voice and is not recognized as such even because

Holy Ghost speaks with a voice more that you can feel than you can hear.

At times when you feel negative emotions and express them, the spirit leaves. Maybe it has been explained before as saying that anger and contention are of the devil, so if you act out anger than the Holy Ghost is not being obeyed.

***question.. is it dismising the spirit to just think in contradiction or does the spirit leave only when it becomes acted upon, or spoken in words.

Remission of sins does not happen merely when sins are expelled and then the Holy Ghost needs to enter into the temple/body.

It brings peace to our hearts and understanding of the things of God.

Holy Ghost can be felt instance by instance, but the gift gives you opportunity to hold it at all times.

Adversary would stir up the hearts of men one against another, so we need a coping mechanism, we do not need to deal with this all alone, so, how can we draw the power of Jesus Christ into our lives?

Challenge to find all references of the savior in the scriptures. It changed the man who did it...so how would it change us. Just imagine

When alone and no other entertainment we are forced to choose our input. If the book of Mormon is chosen or as it represents choosing our Savior. And it will change you, you will become a different person.

When we need someone to talk to and end up choosing to pray because it feels like we need to be compelled or something, but it changes us.

Be willing to be different if you are a disciple. Learn to be undaunted.

"I had no idea that I knew and could teach these things." said by a young "undaunted" man preparing for a mission.

Being a disciple of Christ allows us to do things that we otherwise could not do.

Have you been seeing the miracles around you everyday? If you cannot, then something is wrong.

Reaching up in faith, we see where someone reached up to Christ, well, would he be there if he did not reach? Well, yeah.

We reach up when we have no other hope, but how much better it would be if we chose when we had other options.

Our Savior knows us and wants us to reach out for him.

Everytime we reach up others are reaching back they are the hands of Christ...and we do not notice.

The worst part about a talk is right before it, the best part is right after it is over.

I realized while a boy was confirmed his blessing was in French and I thought distinctly that was evidence that it was not for me beyond what I got out of it. God understands whatever language we use. I do not think that words are needed to communicate.

The first french fry was not made in France but out of Greese (so were dads sort of)

Our husband is much like our dad because of our expectations, I suspect much expectation is modeled after our relationship with our heavenly Father.

Stripling warriors had fathers, too altjough we usually only talk about their mothers, like in mother's day talks.

I was just thinking that same thought, that there are things that parent only wants to do for their child, but if we pray and have faith it will be done, and story shared of blessing of a father it is clear that God gives much better blessings than the things that would be done or given otherwise.

Who knew that our trip will have been so spiritual, that we would need to reprove so often with sharpness.

Some hold on to their sins because of guilt that tears at their faith, and they doubt it is that easy to be baptized. I wonder if baptism truly is that simple for those who truly need it.

We never kniw what Jesus will return, but we want to be doing our best.

We all have and need heroes, the scriptures

We need the WHOLE armor of God. Perhaps remind children to put it on when they go away...

We are harder on ourselves that what we actually deserve most of the time.

"Are we there yet?" We joke about kids asking that on a trip, but life is a trip and we are supposed to endure to the end...

Living the gospel is like the story of Moses asking people to look upon the staff and be saved, but many would not because it is too simple.

True freedom lies in obedience.

Commandments are not a suggestion.

The way God judges us may well be very much like how I appear indifferent. I am not indifferent at all I just do not deem some things on a scale that requires interaction or rebuttal on my part.

Feel Heavenly Father's love when a person is set apart. Testimony that despite what we do, we are loved.

When we go to the temple it is irrelevant if we feel the spiritual out pour as to if it is there. It is No doubt there, if you have been properly prepared you will feel it is God's work.

Even when you are 20 years old you will hate it maybe when reminded by your mom, but you should CTR,  like the primary rings.

Each book literally a testament of Jesus Christ and basically at the core tell that Jesus is our Savior, He was needed and fufilled his mission.

Callings come from God, above all callings held which have been many it has been most meaningful to be in the nursery, that it is the one place where instead of uplifting you are helped, taught, and uplifted.

It is awesome how children are so accepting of you. (The Lord says this is humility that must exist in the Kingdom of Heaven)

Woman's husband is jealous of his wife's work with the children and he expressed longing to be one of those children.

Repentance isn't really about steps, that go in order, but these are principles of repentance:
1 we must recognize our sin
2 we must feel sorry
3 we must forsake our sin
4 we must confess
5 we must make restitution
6 we must make restitution
7 we must forgive others
8 we must keep the commandments of God

There are reaching effects of our sins, and we all must truly repent.

King Lamoni used the word give as in giving his sins away to mean forsake.

Stop and think more deeply on the existence of sin in the preexistence.

You can feel what needs to be confessed to the bishop.

Restitution story about putting a feather on the doorstep on every person that he lied to then he was asked to go collect those feathers. He said it was impossible to do, this is like restituting for the sin.

Song "Keep the Commandments" it says "in this there is saftey and peace."

Met a guy who believed in death bed repentance.

They are principles to apply to who you are in becoming a repentant person, opposed to steps, that all need to be checked off, ir done in order.

People are much harder on themselves.
Even if they go through the steps they do not feel like they have been forgiven.

Relief Society

Nostalgic about leaving a house that was a home and we recall so many memories.

We are in many families, a group of people of a common goal or belief.

We learn in family situations. We are aware of the needs of another.

These we are closest with can teach and provide.

Fathers and mothers are needed to raise children.

Imperative that you do not neglect your family, these roles define our eternal being.

If satan is to destroy the world he will destroy the family.

When it seems to drag on forever, they will grow up and your chance will go away. So, make impressions early or someone else will and then habits will be set.

No place in your heart for an answer. Holes need to be carved out by experience so that the blessings can come.

Life will create a holding place for your answer, it is constantly readfirmed that prayers are actually heard, for real no doubt there, it is only in the answer because it is not recognized or seen yet.

We are not anyone's savior.

If you raise up a child he will not depart, this must be true. So when a child does depart it feels like something was done wrong, but there are tons of examples of righteous parents who had children go astray. But maybe God doesn't see things as immediate and finite as we do. If Prayers are heard and that scripture is true, then we need FAITH and believe it is working as it should.

I have heard of it referred to as timing. Because, God does not work on a McDonald's time frame there does not seem to have any effect. Timing to be visible is a strange thing.

I have noticed that serving others is taught as such a normal thing. It was not just part of life and so it is much more of a sacrifice to me, but I wish sometimes that was just how I had been raised to believe life simply was.

First Talk -
Had such a feeling of peace and comfort just by entering bishop's office that I had such strong impressions from the spirit that I knew what I should do, I knew that it was the Lord speaking peace to my heart... we moved to Louisiana and I felt that was what was aked of us.

Nephi was so impressed with the vision that his father shared that he not only desired to know what his  father saw, and he believed fully.

"Be still and know..."

More than just  desired to go to temple, but really really craved it, but was not to go unless getting married or going on a mission.

When the spirit speaks to you, it is not deniable by reason, it is spirit speaking to spirit. It is woven into sinews so that it cannot be forgotten.... have you received such communications? (Pure inspirations).

Dreamed about delivering a baby, but he worried because the new policy not to deliver babies when in emergency room.
This man was worried about the many babies who would not have access to healthcare once born, this is like being baptized, we will need the nourishment, just as the physical babies needed.

A best way to devlop and mature is to help others nature.

You will get the same results if you do the same things, if you want different results you need to do different things.

When we want to know things we ought to ask God more than we ask Google.

If we ask we need to not focus on being answered the way that we want. Much like the way our children ask things and think we are evil cause we still say no.

It is sort of irrelevant of how much faith we have, the answer is still going to be what it is.

Truth is truth.

Stormy weather ahead financially, it can be ridden out with a supply of food and getting house in order reducing the needs that you have.

When we know the truth, we know the Savior. Bore his tesimony of such and he is safe because of it.

When we are kind to others we are closer to being disciples of God, and it will become a "zion" where all are of one heart and one mind.

When we are traveling  sometimes "the temple" may not be in view, but whenever we get a peep then, we kniw that the directions that we got that both took us out of the sight and closer to the destination, or temple.

Traching children is good because they need to be baptized so that they can attend the temple and recieve those ordinances, and be able to recieve them for others.

It is more important to know what is right to do that will matter more than all of the dogma we may learn.

HolyGhost gives us "directions" that we may make it to our destination.

Notes from Stake Conf.

Stake priesthood choir sang, it was,basically, the high councilmen and stake presidency. The sang " Called to Serve" very impressive arrangement.

Felt the need to share testimony through song.

Modeled after presidence set by gen authority, this will be more of a family Council than merely a meeting.

We,need to focus on and improve our sabbath day observance. A discussion with our stake family.

Prophetic priority to be to our meetings on time, why would this be so important?

Able to feel spirit and partake of the entire meeting.

It is helpful to reflect on the prelude music so can prepare for sacrament.

Being at least 10 minutes early is to be on time.

We really mean to be there when we are early.

Increased devotion and reverence for the savior by being on time...now, I think of the story where a guy went to church but he had no car but took his young kids even to church although they had to walk across a busy street but, they made it a priority and so we need to do a thing similar by coming on time.

On ward conference there is a noticeable difference of everyone being there and on time, it really effects the whole meeting.

Being early to sacrament meeting is such a simple thing, but it is because our stake presidency wants us to recieve greater blessings and it will make a difference.

The real work of the gospel does not happen in a meeting although sacrament is the most important meeting/ordinance.

Must have a testimony

More important to believe the church is true than having money, etc.

Remembering that you can do anything through christ.

Nothing is as essential as the Holy Ghost.

Knowing and understanding what a mission is. It requires alot of WORK and many do not realize that.

"You are married to the chairs." Referred yo the Work of setting them up, but you could just know that the chairs will be set up. The Lord is able yo do his eork, you can help, but his part will be done regardless.

SERVICE. Key to missionary work hastening.
Translation for parent teacher conferences was a rhing the missionaries did... more people will actually accept the gospel because of service.

A trouble of people that tendvtp think it is all about themselves but Matthew it states that a man must deny themselves. .. called delayed gratification.

Often, the Lord does not answer in a way that we expect to the point that we think that we have not suceeded.

It is important to keep a journal, that is the reason I type out all of my notes because I know that my handwritten accounts would not be legible later. The brother shared an example of how writing in his journal strengthened his testimony by reading how Moroni recorded his account of things by reading it he knew that Moroni was a real perdon wroting real events

Increasing the intensity and faith did not do as well in the object lesson of saving souls (gumdrops) with a chopstick. But when two, neither more important or better at putting them in a jar, but when they were both used together saving happened.

We have temples so that we can be protected and held in a sacred place to be gathered.

Go through temple as,newly baptized member 80% are retained opposed to 20%. This applies as well to those who are what we call "less active" and need to renew their flame, just coming back. If worthy of baptism, they are worthy of the priesthood, etc.

Blessed with protection by doing family history work.

An apostle asked us to please mention this, farwells are a thing of the past. We need the focus of the meeting needs to be on the atonement, but the missionary does not do things to call attention to himself. By having special programs or family members giving talks.

Apostle asked please not do this. It is a little things, what should we do when a hard thing comes along?

Standing close together.

It was sooo wonderful how everyone has little goodies in their bag for children even if they do not have them.

A task that seems impossible to do by those who have been asked to do the thing, but great things are possible when they work together.

Obedience, or obeying perfectly seems impossible, but can be done.

Sometimes we are not even away of who is lifting or the fact that we need the lifting.

Best way to help others is to do your calling, that was said by Pres.  Rutter when asked by people how we might help Sister Amy Wright.

Bishop might need our help lifting, only in the place we stand, likewise we serve in our callings.

We might lift and sustain our prophet. How? It will help if we help where we can, it will happen regardless  like the Savior said about the People who shouted his praises as he rode into Jerusalem.

We gather together to enable ourselves to be blessed.

If you do a great service, it will be rewarded.

Watched a scene from "Only a Stonecutter." Where he admitted that others could do his job, but itcwas his calling.

The great work the man did he never even saw, this may be the same thing with the effect of our labor.

In our life, we are the gravity friendly instrument that needs to be lifted and carried to a place where we can stay safely, like we saw in our object lesson.

We have missionaries from our stake throughout the world.

One on one instruction can happen in classes so as a primary or nursery teacher you may have more influence than even the bishop, cause you will be helping other across the world.

**I feel this is the case as I teach and love my children. I am really loving the world.
