Talked about testimony. We need to be self sustaining in our testimonies,but first relying on others is how  we learn. A perfect example is how Lehi was sure of a thing. So he told his son Nephi who sought to know for himself.

Likewise, we all have had such examples.

Our testimony gives birth to conversion.

Tiberias is another name for the sea of Galilee.

Example of how repitition pr experience teaches us how we ought to react, not with faith, but a knowledge of what will happen and we can be prepared (John 21)

Our mortal journey is a process of conversion. The spirit is crucial,

We can recieve a testimony without knowing it. Elder Anderson said, "we do not know everything, but we know enough."

You cannot be active in the gospel in youth and cease it to because of troubles in the church.

Intently desire others to recieve ordinances.

What do scriptures mean to you? It is not enough to just give the Sunday School answers.

Lord answers through scriptures when we pray, at times it is black and white. And tells is exactly what we should do. Story of how the Lord told exactly to move in to her Father's house.

A friend said, the scriptures are the secrets of the universe. Sister Thacker said, they can tell us everything, even most mundane.

Studying our scriptures fill you pushing out everything else and as we study we become more the spiritual person we must become.

Scriptures are called the words of Christ.

Book of Mormon is what we build our whole faith upon, it is the keystone of our religion.

The D&C was important enough to be included as our scriptures.

Articles of Faith are what we believe.

The most significant thing we can do to teach our children is to read our scriptures. 2 Nephi 33:10

Flagpole talk idea, set rules, but set them so that people feel free to say thngs that they might otherwise not admit due to sure consequences, this flag pole talk suspends them.

Family counsel is an encouraged thing, make everyone feel significant.  FAMILY VACATIONS for example are more fun when the FAMILY wants to go.

Difference between FHE and Family Counsel. Family counsel can be part of FHE.

Counsel is needed when red flag view off.

Each gets 10 minutes and no one else can talk. Kids prefer to talk about and discuss one topic, instead of an agenda.

Kids will invest a lot when included.

First we will always counsel with the Lord.

Sometimes it is best to do things at meal times, when we are together.

Alma 39:10 siblings help one another. A great pattern to establish.

A bit more is added to any lesson when people are required the think or use a symbol is used to instruct.

Started with reciting "the living savior". Among things that our Savior did was institute the sacrament.

Start with Isaiah. Chpt. 43

It is a big deal to be an Israelite. No one can enter God's kingdom unless they join or are adopted. All are invited.

Being gathered = being baptized.

When on mission gave lots of new rules to shake things up and realize revelation.

Revelation can be seen through the rules that parents give.

A story of tee tom dams, the difference between what men say to do opposed to the direction and revelation from God.

Sometimes we do understand things or why a companion was given us.

At conference it is better to listen with open hearts than just taking notes and looking for good,quotes.

Revelation is the only way to achieve knowledge that will guide us in the eternities. It is The ONLY way to have peace and happiness in the eternities cause men do not know what the future will be.

We have the church today because a boy sought revelation.

We all need heroes and people to look up to, the fact that God gave up an example in all things is a testimony of that.

Sincere question is not the same thing as doubt. Meaning that we wait to believe until we learn, but if we question honestly we do not suspend our action.

Doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith.

He said to let the Acorn of truth bloom into the oak of faith.

Do not doubt, because that will destroy a family.

Doubt obeys if, but we need to have faith like Nephi and Go and do regardless.

Personal Story about trying to have children, but failed it lead to adoption, and then others were actually born into the family. So we learn after how and why things happen.

The story of how a prayer was given and answered in a way that was not even known until after the thought. How often does that happen? We don't know.

Often the Lord does speak to us, but like Sammuel we say, "that cannot be the Lord." But his prophet told him that it was the Lord.

The Lord wants us to be the answer to one another's prayers.

40 years it is a significant symbol but we do not know if the children of Israel wandered 40 years, Salt Lake Temple did take 40 years.

John the Baptist did not want to baptize Jesus, but he did it cause he was told to, so he was obedient.

Communication did not cease on the earth.

My friend at a camp told me either it was our church or theirs (the Cathloic) because no one else has the authority.

Cathloic pope seems like such a good man. It is important to build the bridge for them.

Our church is a church of authority.

Relief Society - lesson 5 repentance.

First about the prayer, I realized again that My testimony and why I do things is often because of things I know, I need to do more because I feel it. I serve others because I was told to do it, and so I do it because it is right, but it would be so much better if I served because I loved, truly felt their good and well being was my responsibility.

Our lives are purposed in Joy which is dependent on repentance.

Sin is the opposite of freedom.

Do our prophets actually have faith in Jesus Christ or a knowledge?

Peace can come as a result of true repentance.

The first step is purity.

People believed in king Benjamin although Christ had not come yet.

Christ works inside out. That is the answer to world peace, cleanliness which is recieved through repenting and getting rid of sins or things holding us back.

Told story of Alma the Younger brought up the mighty change of heart. It inclines our heart to God and we desire good things more, and the cycle that leads us to happiness.

Missionaries claim it was the best two years of their lives because they get to see lives change as they recieve the gospel.

2 Nephi. The Lamenting psalm of Nephi. Godly sorrow, "wretched soul that I am..." Broken heart and contrite spirit is needed.

There is a difference between being sorry but not unto repentance.

All we need to do is open up and let him in. She is talking about missionaries knocking on doors and it makes me laugh.

Do not fear that when we open the door to God that he will not be there.

God already knows what we want, but he wants us to ask.

We are given weaknesses so that we have a need.

The teacher asked if we have sins so that we can be close to the Lord. I thought, "Well yeah." But then the answer was no. As we discussed weaknesses I understood that we are given weaknesses from God. So he wants us to need something that thing is repentance.

Often, we are needed to forgive others. Now, I think of that Bible story where Jesus tells us to forgive many many times, even if it is not deserved per se. Like that story of the Amish people and the funeral...

I would give up my sins to know God.

Sometimes, things do not happen miraculously like Alma the younger, it is bit by bit that we become purer, like the sacrament each week. One sister explained that she needed to forgive others to even take the sacrament.

Do not harbor the past, shake it off and realize the Lord is merciful and kind.

It is a steady journey toward eternal life not miraculous acts. But a gradual inclination towards Godly things.

It was fascinating that the pianist asked me if I heard it, during the closing song it sounded like tons of people were singing and the harmonies were sublime.

Our leaders pray that you will be strengthened.

The dresses we sewed for the people in Africa, and we in turn were blessed with the know how. And I got to use the idea to make a dress for my daughter for her Christmas present and a visiting women commented how brilliant the idea was, it was a direct blessing of service.

Jesus partook of the bitter without becoming bitter.

Story of a pure revelation teach them who to follow, and who you are. When she was frustrated and needed an answer of what to teach and the answer came when she was in a situation where the spirit could dwell. And that is why it is so imortant to be in such a holy place, and make our homes such.

We are the gaurdians of heart and home...teach the children who they are, these responsibilities can not be delegated.

Our stewardship to God about each child, when interviewed by our savior.

We must be aligned with his vision for us.

We cannot offend a woman, who is a daughter of God, without offending him.

So much of Jesus'ministry was done while he was doing another thing, minister as we go along.

Charity Never Faileth, reminds me of that quote, "Never neglect a person who needs to be loved to do a thing." Ohhh, that quote was not as good as the actual one, but that is the sentiment.

Story was a testimony that the Lord was aware of him. He was so angry, but greatful for the atonement, that removed the pain even when our burden is not from sin.

She is unashamedly proclaiming that the Holy Ghost is male.

We need not ever put off promptings. The story of the one person she neglected calling cause it seemed unsensible. Ends up that person had comitted suicide.

Not a coincdence when a woman prayed so hard and then a thing miraculously happened to elviate the trouble.

We have three members of the Godhead pulling for us.

Awesome characteristics are not only owned by some, we all have that strength or what not within us.

The Lord first declared everything to women first, gave examples from the scriptures.

It is important to teach children to start praying for the women... Their wives to be.

Greatest thing we can do is stand side by side with spouse.

the Last Mimzy patterns communicate something. Looking or staring rather, at the pattern on a woman's shirt. I knew something. It might be the way our nuerons work.

If today Isn't working, likely tomorrow won't either

It only feels that way, suggests feelings are not accurate. Well, nothing is substantial on it's own. That is exactly why we have multiple senses or multiple limbs.

Someone brought it to my attention that if you are truly a pacifist you may need to chop off a few arms. No one actually said that, but I got that from the comment that if you would not stop fighting then, the solution is to cut off their arms, that would be more humane than killing them or something. I personally would rather die, but it has also been said that often we need to remove an offending body part to achieve what it is keeping us from.

But, the most amazing thing I have to share is that we should not force our round lives into square pegs. If it takes therapy, so be it. It is worth it to sieze the day.

"My best friend gave me the best advice. He said each day's a gift and not s given right. That first step you take is the longest stride," so try to take the path less traveled.

The relationships we enjoy here will continue in eternity.

Even when I was not here, I felt like I belonged.

I miss some from long ago, and I enjoy visiting them.

Our family can be recognized from studying in particular.

I love my fellow young women, like a family.

It is familiar feeling that others do not know or feel as strongly about things then, the witness surely comes.

Prayer heartfelt communication. Our kids do the perfect thing in their prayers.

Wife says to get out and pray. Maybe she wants you out of the bed, or to pay the price to grant access to the bed.

Others are spiritually mature in this ward!

Fasting with a purpose does bless you undoubtedly. We can observe miracles from this which increases our testimony.

When you are really hungry, even bad food tastes good.

We all need to reread the book of Mormon from time to time.

  A lyric touches you. Even if you are small and feel insignificant, and cannot do anything large...our eyes are small and they see such great things.

Even away from saints, I knew that I was not alone, but he felt even angel's prescence, it builds his testimony (I thought about the prayers and how I know they were answered)

She feels like she is getting old because kids are growing up. callings are divinely set up and used to help us.

Another person felt their ancestors asking things from them through the work of Family history.

Greatful for opportunity to repent.
Is taught as the way to be able to come back to Father in Heaven.

If you do not have time to pray for 10 minutes, pray for an hour.

Prayer is done by bowing head and closing eyes, out of respect, same reason we KNEEL.

Find things is a reason to pray.

Story about Joseph, and the time he prayed for his pillow, and I did not want to tell him that his prayer would not be answered, then at Christmas he got a handmade pillowcase and excitedly said, my pillow is going to love this.

We should pray to acknowledge that God does hear us. And then we must pray for the spirit to teach, otherwise, we would not even do it.

There is another time a man noted that he reallized that it does not matter who fills the position, because the spirit is the real teacher.

Just this morning, Joe would not crawl outfrom under his bed, so I found that I needed to pray and I should not have been surprised, but it worked, I was inspired to do a thing I would not have done otherwise.

The people that we need to forgive might not just be the ones who do things to harm is or make us mad. But, might be those who hinder us spiritually.

Our idea of what success is changes so who needs forgiveness might.
Eternal perspective.

A guy promised to act if they knew that they should do a thing.. that is an example of real intent.

Singing is praying.

Atonement is always capitalized in print, and it is often written in books about the Savior.

Atonement is combining estranged things to one, that is an easy way to remember it.

"..that they might be one even as we are one."

He interceeds for them.

Hard to tell is that just a lesson for me or something for sharing, it is hard to tell.

How often it is recorded that Jesus prayed.

Have something written in our heart.

All that is unfair is made right through the atonement.

The adversary knows when we are weakest, but the Lord will be able to save us.

We have terrible times in our life, we are strengthened.

When Ina Mae needed strength, do not go to wizzards or such, but tell the Lord... The feelings of her lost son. That kept her going back.

The Atonement is taught to children through the metaphor of being helped out of a pit.

The greatest evidence of Our Father's love for each of us. This is evident in how he did not safe his darling son when he suffered and was crucified.

If he could refrain from helping Jesus for the good of others. Likewise it helps to remember that if he Isn't helping us, it is because he is thinking of the good of others.

I am here for a purpose and to be a part of a solution not a trouble...gotten from a song.

God knows all things and how to succor his people.

In premortal existance we discussed such opportunities as we actually are now living, to forgive.

This is just the thing on my mind, treat testimony mtg. as an opportunity to live out that scene from Somewhere in Time,"...and what would I say if he were really there?"
