I would give up my sins to know God.
Sometimes, things do not happen miraculously like Alma the younger, it is bit by bit that we become purer, like the sacrament each week. One sister explained that she needed to forgive others to even take the sacrament.
Do not harbor the past, shake it off and realize the Lord is merciful and kind.
It is a steady journey toward eternal life not miraculous acts. But a gradual inclination towards Godly things.
It was fascinating that the pianist asked me if I heard it, during the closing song it sounded like tons of people were singing and the harmonies were sublime.
