Testimonies a lot of what a testimony is.
How the gospel helps us in our lives
And how when the gospel truly functions properly the ward becomes a strength.
Methodist faith and even their Bible is different, a drumset in the corner but we think it is irreverent.
How Sis Monson always did a lot it the background and was essential but not seen. That was likened to so many people in our ward. (I was impressed at how many people the temple needs to even function).
Living the gospel brings happiness.
Anniversary with someone who has a solid gospel status. It means so much.
Strong family and going on recreational trips regularly is important.
It is significant how often people spoke of Washington
Gifts of the spirit
What is different from gift of the Holy Ghost?
An experience of a woman who did genealogy and was writting in German and was reading everything in English, she thought but it was all in German.
Music to me is another language. Where spirit speaks to spirit communicating more.
Translating - it is a gift. Joseph Smith could do this.
Story of Temple in Germany when Monson had memorized endowment, initiatory, baptism, etc. all became significant because written word was not allowed in the country.
Wisdom - understanding things. Get it.
Knowledge - things like how its made.
Teachinging - like my teachers who knew something but couldn't convey a thing.
Can believe what others say - children
Prophecy - it is not done in a way that goes against the order of things, this way we can tell if it is a gift or imitations.
Healed and be healing. And miracles - so are these gifts?
This is answered in the end.
Does every person get a gift? Sometimes we do not a gift because it is God's will.
Instead of sleeping, I read the lesson, this one in particular was ideal for those who are enduring trials right now.
Lorenzo Snow lesson chapter 10.
John 5. Our wills and gifts are not ours, but others recognize that spirit within us...(I was just thinking about that and how others are not really that great but who is behind it)
When we do the will of the Lord there is no impossibility, like story of wanting to be greeter but that is the selfish will not seeking the will of the father.
She told of how she tried all of these things to be beautiful cause, if she looked her best it stands to reason that she would be giving a great lesson.
But when we focus on true principles to do duties of the Lord, and there will be no failure.
"Eye be single to God's glory"
Just because it is the right thing doesn't mean it is easy, we think for some reason our struggles indicate wrong... Example of Nauvoo.
Lady was praying/fasting for her child, and gained a testimony of that God really does answer us, because he even acted better.
All that our father has can be ours if we seek his will and not our own.
We may not succeed right now, sometimes we must see the big picture, it really gets hard but the end will be worth it.
Stories about a brother who had a son nit come to see him or open mission call for him. The story about a guy who got good grades but was turned down for dental school, and sought a job and took it because it was instantly available and it kept him in the area where he got 5 other job offers and became bishop where 8 families were helped by him, there is a big picture.
Endure to the end.
Heavenly father is aware of us and he sees the who picture.
A guy thought his hard work was the reason that he was blessed.
