Job equality

Ok, what I really want to say is how entirely stupid it is to compare things, namely, men and women.

When hiring, women get all bent out of shape if they are not hired because they feel like they are better qualified. Well, suppose they were for that particular job is that the real issue anyway?

I have had something to say about this for a long time. Originally, I wanted to pass a law that women be required to wear dresses, and if they could not do a particular thing, maybe it was,not intended.

This morning, that idea resurfaced that women were stealing jobs from men in a sense destroying the natural order of things, destroying families, etc. I was reminded of this when I watched a show where a man secured a binding to a huge, heavy, ac unit to be placed on a 30 floor apartment building. I thought, golly, I'm glad a man had that Job, cause men are just stronger than women. I bet no woman could be better qualified for that type of job.

Sure, there are other jobs that are better suited for a woman, like bearing and nurturing children. But, the point is that it is not a matter of job equality. I would not squeeze an apple and expect orange juice, so an orange would be better suited for the task. Like the robots decided in Asimov's "I, Robot" the best way to do their job was to etradicate people, not the intended point. Similarly, a woman might think herself more knowledgeable and say well, you really want apple juice for this, so the apple is better qualified. Perhaps, but the Apple will never make orange juice.
