repeat, repeat, repeat, rep...

I struggled with where this thought should go, but I was sure that it should go somewhere, maybe it is for you.

I was thinking about how helpful it is to me to sort of do over. I think it is because of my brain inadequacies. They probably make things less coherent, but all mankind has less efficient brains, my condition only makes me aware of a design inadequacy. I'll just plug this thought here, until I get around to editing and placing it properly, which I probably will never do, but this is important: When I was studying for tests I would scan a page so that I could dream about it later and rest my body while I study. My mother told me that I ought not use my dreams/brain that way. Rest was intended. My wonder is whether this inefficiency was intended. I have often wondered about why we only use part of our brains as many do. Hence TV programs like "Heroes" was born in an attempt to address possible uses. In a lot of Science fiction the ideal, or futuristic man uses more of his brain to become a greater being. I think understanding Mormonism brings us closer to a possibility.

God created bodies in his own "likeness" but he is all knowing an all powerful. From what I know of information storage and utilization as a computer technician, If used differently (once a size is determined) by file allocation systems more information can be stored and recalled as needed not by changing the hardware, but the system of recall IE NTFS vs FAT or FAT32. It is possible that once resurrected we will have the same bodies but will be given greater functionality making us more like God. I think of a scripture from the book of Moses 1:39 "Behold, it is my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (a funny, a guy gave a talk when I was a teen on the immorality and eternal life of man, not intentionally) So, it was always intended for us to have this latent ability.

Now, I will point out 3 areas in which God uses redundancy. I assert that our stupidity, right now, is only temporary and we are given ways to make up for our inability to retrieve information (like the ability to have the Holy Ghost bring things to our mind because he is part of the Godhead but is a personage of spirit only and can dwell in us.). When God, our Heavenly father sends messages he repeats them. We review lessons and conference talks multiple times. Lastly, we are asked to return to the temple again and again, so that we might actually comprehend things. So, I feel that our capacity is diminished to comprehend multiple and essential things and so we repeat them.

First, when angels visited men he often repeated exactly.

Next, Lena's frustration with the same lessons being taught in RS as in primary didn't we learn them yet? We are actually commanded to reread scripture, likely to understand the law. I get new things out of reviewing conference talks. Our scriptures take on new meanings when we read for congruity vs. pondering principles.

Lastly, Just to comprehend what is being taught by the use of symbols alone requires repetition in our temple attendance. And because so much cannot be published outside of temple walls, information, fundamental to our returning to God must be learned therein by repetition.
